Time to be frightened by a ‘hat’

"Does this frighten you?" asked Antoine de Saint-Exupery in The Little Prince in 1945.

"Does this frighten you?" I ask in 2005. Certainly it frightens me.

But it frightens me more if it doesn’t frighten you!

Because the image is not of a ‘hat’.
It is a boa constrictor digesting an elephant.
It is a call to (re-)discover our imagination!

Is imagination important?

Seen through the lens of imagination:
- problems become opportunities for growth, learning and development
- limitations become possibilities
- small ideas make big impacts
- dreams become realities

…this ‘hat’ becomes a boa constrictor digesting an elephant

Too many of us are looking at the world as if it is ‘hat’.
It is time to imagine ‘what could be’ - not what is.

Frightened yet?
