Live8 - What will become of the Good Vibrations?

Today Life8 is taking place - GLOBALLY!

I found myself in my car listening to Dido and an African singer, whose name currently eludes, singing Neneh Cherry’s “7 seconds”.

I was absorbed, not just by their voices but by the fact that the song mirrors what Live8 is all about:

“We don’t want your money, we want you!”
Or, as the song they they sang says:

“There’s a million voices…”

In fact, it is more than a million voices…it’s 1.5 billion voices all coming together with the good intentions, with the positive intentions, to create the type of world we all want to live in.

Voices pleading that our world not keep Africa in deep poverty, a world saying that it will not stay silent anymore while 30,000 children die each day…

Many religions teach of the healing power of the voice - through stories and through melody/music.

I can imagine those 8 men in Scotland - G8 - quivering.

Not just because I believe that in the healing power of music and voices…

But because ‘there’s millions of voices’ and no wall is thick enough to prevent this call from being heard!

The question is whether they will listen, and respond according to their citizens wishes - as true leaders of our world should.

I hope, nay believe, they will.
