Tequila Bookworm and Moonbeam Coffee Company
It is always a treat to find a great cafe. All the more when you are wandering through a new (and potentially not the most interesting -) city.
Enter two fabulous cafes in Toronto:

1. Moonbeam Cafe Company - found while wandering to Kensington Market with new friend Yoav, en route to meet friend Steph and (my) new friend Danielle. Aside from the great conversation (which I can’t guarantee you) you’ll have a good time! The vibe is part student, part punk, part alternate, part mothers with children, part whatever category you would put people like me. Anyway, the food is great - think lunch food plus some YUM snacks and most importantly, especially for a place with name like that, GREAT coffee! Oh and tell Allan I say hi, please (he would be the owner).
2. Tequila Bookworm, Queen St West - discovered on a ‘post-passport with new visa high’ wander. Anywhere that serves great soup (try the creamed tomato), hosts a collection of fun books on high shelves with ladder, has great service, satisfying food, makes old school milkshakes… already gets my vote. Add finding yourself seated at a table with a secret drawer full of the magical, mystical and mythical (depending on whose looking in it) and it is worth blogging. The company didn’t hurt either ;). Thanks for the ivy waterfall too Mr. RSA - and looking forward to lotto conversation.
Onward and upward folks!
