To Reflect On

"For now we see through a glass, darkly,

but then face to face: now I know in part;

but then shall I know even as also I am known."

Corinthians 13*

*Please note: For anyone feeling uneasy about the religious nature of this posting I would like to recommend reading it as a poem. This is not from my faith but it’s words ring a truh none-the-less.

I also just know this needs to be put up here, many interpretations to be made…much musing. I do recommend reading the whole passage. The line the precedes it highlights how we lost our wonder and ability to see the world as a child as we became adults: something I am thinking about a lot at the moment. Thanks Esther for showing me this quote.

  1. paul Says:

    Love the “paul” quote;if he came back today (reincarnated) I bet he would love gays and women and revise his earlier “1st century”; outdated in 21st century ;epistles re women and gays and other topics!

    but I feel he was full of HEALING TOTAL UNCONDITIONAL love just “well” straitjacketed by the 1st century(including his views re:- slaves a very Roman thing back then) and had to water down Christianity “a lot which he and Mary Magdalene didn’t really want to do;so it survived as an exoteric “outer faith” for 2000 years until blokes like Edgar Cayce could attempt a sort of revision including reincarnation etc(I love Virginia Beach USA and the Association for Research and Enlightnement!)

    (so hopefully the “real god” will still BLESS AMERICA hope so!)

    I don’t feel uneasy about religion/religious quotes and spirituality just fundamentalism which seems excuse to kill people or pick on them or control society

    there is definitely 26 letters in the alphabet though not 24 you mentioned in another musing!
