Draw Circles and Transform

“The eye is the first circle; the horizon which it forms is the second; and throughout nature this primary figure is repeated without end. It is the highest emblem in the cipher of the world.”Ralph Waldo Emerson, Essays -"Circles”

Many friends and colleagues will tell you of my fascination with circles and how I will often share what amazing (and sometimes overwhelming*) things can occur when we sit in them/around them - in conversation or otherwise**. From what I have experienced, it is the circle itself that has an inherent power - the power is the circle.

So today when I read a beautiful post "draw circles", with a very interesting focus on vicious vs virtuous circles from what seems to be a wonderful blog, 37days, I couldn’t help but pass it forward. Especially as it offers an action orientation at the end - how to move from a vicious to a virtuous circle!

Happy circling!

* there is always a caution - it is harder not to speak when sitting in a circle…

**Not convinced? You can test this theory out - next time you go for dinner choose a circle table and the next time choose a square or table with hard edges…you’ll notice different things will come out.
