NanoTales - 6 Words Make A Story

"The world of two. Now one" - Natalie Shell

More in storyworld - above is my first play with nanotales - 6 line stories and so forth. Certainly it isn’t Hemingway’s:

"Baby Shoes. For Sale. Never Worn"

But it is fun to practice and I thought it was a good entry into this article on Nanotales in The Guardian passed on by Barrie.

And of course it reminded me that my friend, Motti, had passed on an earlier article in Wired called "Very Short Stories" which featured the results to their call to designers and writers to create their own nanotales.

You can submit your own nanotales to a competition by Ziv Navoth at Bebo. May even submit one of mine. More attempts below:

Read one. Hated it. And yet.

Passionate start. boring middle. failed ending.

In the beginning. There was an end.

hmmm will keep trying. Deceptively hard this skill!

A quick addition - nanotales need not be 6words- the bebo competition is for stories under 1000 words…

you can watch a little reuters clip on the idea here:
