More On Story Is Everywhere…
Happy New Year – and thank you to all of you for being such great readers and friends!
Last year was certainly a year of Story! As such, these days I get a lot of emails and things about story and storytelling from friends (thanks one and all – keep them coming please).
And I thought perhaps you would want to see some, too…
Enjoy!
- Doris Lessing’s Nobel Lecture for her Nobel Prize in Literature references Story and Storytelling throughout her speech. Thanks to Ashley Ramsden.
- Isabella Allende on TED "Tales of Passion" tells of storytelling, passion – and the critical role for in educating woman today. Thanks Simon Winkler
- Philippe Stark, also on TED talks on Why Design? – and discusses the human story, and where we are in it. Thanks Paul Schumann
- Harvard Business Review closed 2007 on Leadership and Story – thanks Eileen Clegg.
- The Story of Stuff - ever wondered what happens to stuff when we throw it out? – via the fabulous Miss Alice Tang
And, The StoryTeller, by Jim Henson – with thanks to almost everyone who is from Israel who hears I am a StoryTeller (I know I am a little late in the game with this one, but better late than never…)
PS Doris, I am still looking for that ‘space’!
PPS Mum, thanks to you, too!
