Weaving, cloth making…
The stories being told around such “work” through the generations.
Like communal cooking.
It is more than the activity or the tangible ends.
It is the engagement with others, during the process of making.
What is the equivalent today?
Chatting to a friend at the other desk (or even around the world) as we do our work - designing, programming, drawing…
Sometimes. an open phone line / open skype connect, without much actual data exchange, is sufficient…
