Still Digesting
I’m back from Poland…back to normality, day-day…and that’s lovely (always nice when friends and colleagues say they missed you ;)) but I must admit I’m still digesting…
While I let my thoughts simmer I wanted to share these two photos – I took them while we sped through Poland and I think they’re special:

Poland still has one of the largest collections of natural ancient forests – and I didn’t know until the day I left!! I think they add to the magic of the place. And I feel … I feel a lot ;)
I really appreciated that my family joined in on my whole roots digging escapades and organized (my mother in particular- THANKS) this trip back to ‘the land’ of our more recent ancestry. 11 of us drove through Poland and I suppose I realised – it was allowed to be fun as well as serious and sad and all the stuff in between.
I also realised somehow I am making more than just a small story collection…maybe a book maybe…something is slowly growing more tangible. But there is a lot of work ahead and a lot of writing to be done and…I’m still digesting.
(I’m also glad that my project “The Family Forest” is aptly named)
With magic…and greens…and some healthy digestion!!
