User centered design…
It’s been a ‘fun’ time at work this week when we launched a new version of our online platform. There are so many different languages and assumptions between all the different groups: product, marketing, designers, engineers…but at the end of the day what you want is a product that users find well, usable. And love to use!
…Anyway, in my frustration with bug fixes (and probably a bit of wanting to get my own way…) it made me remember a slide (yes, gasp, an overhead slide!) I’d seen in my university days, that I probably still have in a box somewhere. It amused me then but it amuses me ever more today!

PS thanks to E for reminding me of this image over lunch…

we used to use this example regularly (back in the old days of the 70’s and 80’s) as rationale for why it was necessary to have a clear, written brief with all projects - preferably with some visuals for examples
with that clear brief, you could then evaluate performance
